Do I have to purchase Venice Beach Food Tour tickets in advance? Is cash accepted?

Tickets must be purchased by 5:00 PM the day BEFORE the tour. It is best to purchase tickets several days in advanced in order to get the day and number of tickets you prefer. Only Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard are accepted for ticket purchases from our website or by calling (323) 412-9077. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the Venice Beach Food Tours are NOT accepted.

Do I need to purchase a ticket if I’m not eating?

Absolutely- whether you plan to eat the food tastings or not, you must pay for a ticket. Anyone who does not pay will not be allowed to join the tour for any reason(s). The ticket fees cover the costs of not only all the food samplings, but also the tour guide(s) wages, whom are offering valuable knowledge on historical, cultural and restaurant information during our tours.

If a food tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?

We do not keep a waiting list for customer overflow. If a date and time is unavailable, please email or call us to let us know what date you are interested in.

How much food is served on the Venice Beach Food Tour?

Delish Tours serves slightly more food than most participants’ average meal. We recommend eating breakfast before the tour, for the tour is not intended to replace an entire day of meals.

Where does the Venice Beach Food Tour start?

The Venice Beach Food Tour starts at Zelda’s Corner. This cafe is located on Westminister Avenue, right by Ocean Front Walk. The tour guide will meet guests outside the cafe. To see a map of our starting location, click here.

Are gift certificates available?

Can children come on the tour?

Delish Tours offers a childrens’ tickets, and encourages children to join us on a tour. We understand that some children have a limited attention span, so our tour guides do their best to keep the tour fun and entertaining. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child.

Can I book a private group tour?

Yes! Delish Tours highly encourages private group tours for groups larger than 6 people. To learn more, please visit our Private Group Tours page. You can also give us a call at (323) 412-9077. A member of Delish Tours staff will respond within 24 hours.

How much walking is involved? Is it a fast-paced tour?

Tours generally last between 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the tour route. Guests should expect to be standing or walking for a majority of the tour. We provide at least 2 sit-down locations for about 20 minutes each during the tour.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know IN ADVANCED, we can accommodate your needs. We order and pay for all of the food before the tour begins, so it is difficult to alter orders once we start the tour.

Are the Los Angeles Food Tours wheelchair and baby stroller accessible?

The Los Angeles Food Tour route is wheelchair and baby stroller friendly and accessible. (Note: If there are any complications with accessibility during the tour; the tasting can be conducted right outside the restaurant.)

Do your tours have anything to offer a local Angelino?

A majority of Delish Tours attendees live right here in Los Angeles. Locals partcipate to learn more about the neighborhoods and the city in which they live in, as well as take advantage of knowing the best specialty food store locations and local restaurants in Venice Beach. Are there vegetarian options on the tour?

Of course! Our tasting locations’ vegetarian options are just as delicious as their non-vegetarian options. Please be sure to let us know IN ADVANCED if you would like the vegetarian tasting option.

Does the tour leader accept gratuities?

Very graciously! While gratuities are greatly appreciated, they are not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20% of the ticket price.

When is the best time to take the tour?

If you are visiting Los Angeles, we suggest taking our Venice Beach Food Tour at the beginning of your stay, so you can revisit the wonderful restaurants off-the-beaten-path. We will provide you with a list of several amazing restaurants that we did not visit on the tour, so you can explore the food scene in other areas of Los Angeles during your stay.

Can I shop during the tour?

Two of the tasting locations sell packaged products that can be purchased. If you would like to shop at either of those locations, we recommend returning to the store after the tour ends. The tours are on a schedule to arrive at the tasting locations at a specific time, so we do not want to run late due to guests shopping. Abbot Kinney Boulevard offers many boutiques and shops that will be tempting to go into. However, we do not allow guests to shop anywhere expect for our tasting locations. This is simly because of our lack of enough time. We definitely recommend you come back to shop after the tour!

Does the tour end at the same place we meet?

No, the Venice Beach Food Tour does not finish at the same location as the meeting point. We will send you detailed instructions after ticket purchase with the starting and ending point locations. All guests will also receive a map with return directions included at the beginning of the tour. Tour guides will happily show you the route to get back to our starting point, as it can be reached by walking, taking a taxi, or taking the bus.

Are any beverages served on the tour?

Water will be provided at many of our tasting locations, but you may want to bring a water bottle as well. A couple of our locations will also provide a beverage as part of the tasting.

Are tours offered only in English?

Yes, our tours will only be lead in English. If you would like to bring an interpreter, please email us at info@delishtours.com.

Do the LA Food Tours run year-round?

What happens if it rains?

In rain or shine our tour guides will make sure the tour is consistantly satisfying. We will provide ponchos to all guests if the forecast predicts rain, but please check the forecast before the tour and dress appropriately. We will only reschedule tours if the weather is VERY extreme.

If I am bringing an infant/very young child, do I need to purchase a ticket for them?

If you are bringing an infant or very young child, who will not be eating food on the tour, you do not have to buy him/her a ticket. Please let us know before the tour if you are bringing a very young child.

Are bathrooms available during the tour?

Yes, we will have two or three bathroom breaks on the tour, depending on the tasting route. The tour guide will inform you each time we have a restroom nearby.

Are cameras allowed on the tour?

Of course! We would love for you to take pictures or videos during the tour. If you plan on taking pictures, Delish Tours would greatly appreciate you sharing them with us or tagging @delishtours on your social media posts!

Is there parking near the tour meeting point?

Yes, there is street parking as well as public parking near the tour start. Venice Beach gets very crowded, especially during the warmer months, so please arrive early in order to find a parking spot on time. Specific parking details are included in the meeting location directions after purchasing ticket(s) with location, pricing, and hours.
